 Overview
Our luxury chalet La Cachette is situated on the south side of the valley with magnificent views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains. From the master bedroom you can wake up to a direct view of the famous Dru, one of Chamonix's well-known peaks. This chalet, which was built in 1999, is south facing and receives sun most of the day through winter and summer. Clients return to the chalet year after year and enjoy the outstanding patio hot tub with the most magnificent views of the Aiguille Du Midi and the surrounding areas.
Lounge
An open plan kitchen/lounge area is fitted around a large open fireplace, which provides a warm intimate atmosphere for guests. Two large sofas and an armchair comfortably accommodate eight people. People also like to sit around our beautiful stone fireplace to savour the alpine atmosphere. The lounge includes a cinema system with a Bang & Olufsen TV, a full DVD system together with a 5.1 Bose speaker system. There is an excellent choice of the latest DVD's and music CD's. This area leads onto the external patio where the hot tub is positioned and which boasts some of the most amazing views of the Mont Blanc massive from anywhere in Chamonix.
Kitchen
The open plan kitchen has all modern facilities, which includes an oven, hob and microwave together with a top of the range dishwasher. The kitchen is excellently equipped with all cooking utensils and has plenty of work surfaces well appointed for meals to be prepared.
Dining Room
We have an independent dining room next to the kitchen at the front of the chalet, once again with wonderful views of the Mont Blanc area. This has a large beautiful Middle Eastern style oak table with comfortable chairs allowing eight people to dine in luxury. We also have a fax machine; printer and ADSL hot points for people to conveniently use their laptop computers.
Bedrooms
The chalet has four good-sized double bedrooms. Two bedrooms with their own balcony at the front of the house looking out onto the Mont Blanc area. The master bedroom has a double bed with TV and full satellite facilities. From this bedroom you have direct views of the Dru, Aiguille Du Midi and many famous summits in the Chamonix valley. The largest bedroom incorporates two single beds together with a futon bed so this room can comfortably accommodate three people. In this bedroom we also have a small gym, which includes a multigum, bicycle, mat with sit-up frame and some free weights. The other two bedrooms have one double bed and two single beds. The chalet can comfortably accommodate eight people or together with the futon bed and sofa beds in the lounge can squeeze eleven if necessary. All rooms have a CD player and radio for independent listening.
Bathrooms
We have one bathroom upstairs with bath, power shower and toilet and downstairs we have a shower room with a big shower cubicle with power shower and adjoining toilet. Both these bathrooms benefit from an increased capacity water tank of 600L to guarantee there is always constant hot water in the property.
Hot Tub
We have incorporated here a large hot tub with a water capacity of over 1000L, which comfortably accommodates four people. It is positioned on the patio outside the lounge enjoying some of the most magnificent views in Chamonix.
Sauna
The lower floor has a beautiful Cedar Sauna, which includes a powerful 6KW heater and comfortably accommodates six people.
Utility room
The utility room houses a powerful washing machine and tumble dryer together with a backup freezer and fridge. This room is perfect for storing and drying ski boots and gear.
Location
La Cachette is on the south side of Chamonix in a village called Coupeau. It is by far the most sought after area to live within Chamonix, which is probably why now it is the most expensive. It is a five-minute drive to the nearest ski area of Les Houches, a ten-minute drive to the centre of Chamonix and a twenty-minute drive to the Argentiere Ski area of the Grand Montets. Nestled deep in the forest in Coupeau, it is a beautiful location and has easy access to walks, mountain biking and the close by Merlet Animal Park and very close is the adventure playground for children and adults alike.
Other Facilities
Whilst the chalet is marketed as an un-catered chalet many people also do take it catered. Our philosophy is a little different and when people do want catering we bring in a chef for the week to carry out breakfast and evening meals. This facility is not like any normal chalet dining, and offers a Gourmet menu together with most interesting cuisine. This experience can be taken either on a weekly basis or if preferred just for a couple of days. In addition to this we do offer a range of excellent quality French Wines, which can be purchased from us at the Chalet. You will have a chance to sample some of these wines on a free of charge basis on your arrival.

Change Over Day for La Cachette is Saturday. Arrival after 4pm. Departure before 10am
Strictly Non Smoking Chalet but terraces and garden no problem. Well behaved animals are welcome by prior arrangement with Chamonix Chalets..La Cachette is an uncatered chalet. However, catering can be organised where we would include a gourmet chef for the week.Transfers can be arranged from Geneva. Reliable ski guides and instructors can be arranged for you in advance.
